President Bush,

How dare you, at a "prayer" breakfast, stand and thump your chest in adoration of your military power, and self-righteously claim the "goodness" of your blood thirst for a war on a civilian population, the majority of whom are children. I don’t know who you were praying to, but it certainly wasn’t our Lord Jesus Christ, the God of the New Testament, the One called the "Prince of Peace.".

How dare you drag the Christian faith into your unholy deception. "Blessed are the peacemakers... Blessed are the meek..." You are no more Christian than the Crusaders who, in their quest for wealth and power, slaughtered thousands of Eastern Christians along with those of other religions. Your actions are no more justified in your faith than those who felled the World Trade Center.

The thing about the devil is that he’s sly. I, for one, believe that demonic powers are real and that they infest the Earth. Don’t look for them in dark orgies or blatant shows of evil, though. Look for them masquerading as soldiers of righteousness. Look for them as arrogantly claiming an exclusive right to God’s Blessings, without humility or an understanding of the spiritual nature of the promises made to the faithful.

Devastating hundreds of thousands of civilians is not the answer. Would it not be just as effective a containment to put a hundred thousand inspectors on the ground in Iraq as to risk five times that number in battle?
