I am sick of hateful talk show hosts and mental midget letter writers equating Liberals and "peaceniks" with unholy forces of evil. I’m sure from their tone that many of them would advocate the "elimination" of us "whiny, bleeding hearts" in order to preserve their imagined more inherently valuable existence.
I am also disgusted by the never-ending invocation of the name of God by George Bush to prove the righteousness of his war. He blasphemes the Spirit of God by justifying the suffering of so many for his self-preservation.
From my perspective as a Christian from the Church founded by the Apostles in Antioch, I will make a deal with you warmongers out there: I will give as much support to George Bush’s conquest as our Lord Jesus asked from His followers when he raised an army to put an end to the threat the Romans posed to the early Jews.
You modern-day Zealots would criticize Jesus as an appeaser if he were here today. In a battle of spiritual justification, you are defenseless. In a contest of intellect, you can’t win. In a battle of swords, you might, but to the true Christian, your victory would be awfully short-lived in the overall scheme of things.
